Heroes suffer and fall. They drop so another can rise. Kayden Almerth was such one. He failed. Now the blue forget-me-nots that embrace his body like sky shards are his sole company, the cold of his unyielding shackles and the unregistered passage of time the only constants in his imprisonment. So long has passed. But he's got to stand again.

Kayden had a dream and loved a girl. As soon as he gets out, he will search for the Megalo Sky: the key to the perfect future, whatever that may be. The girl, though... That's more complicated. Power changes people. It changed her.

Nothing will be easy for him. The Empire of the Shattered Sky is out there and will fight and kill to capture him again. Most of his memories are gone, damaged by the cruelty of time. He can't do it alone. To find the Megalo Sky, overthrow the empire, and save Lauren Lerahen, he'll need a team.
